Dozens of Seribu Islands Students Invited to Ancol

Seribu Island Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Handling (PPAPP) Sub-agency invited 70 students from various shools in Seribu Islands to take tour to Sea World, Ocean Dream Samudra and Bird Land at Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, North Jakarta.

Seribu Islands' Assistant of Governmental and Community Welfare, Alawi, said today's program was part of National Children Day activity.

"We want to provide a fun and valuable learning experience outside the classroom. This activity was very positive; they looked happy and enjoyed the rides at Ancol," he said, Monday (7/14).

Munjirin Inspires Students on First Day of New School Year

According to Alawi, this educational tour is not only a vacation, but also to strengthen curiosity and broaden insight into the thousands of marine biota and diverse bird collections in Jakarta.

"They watched fish feeding in a giant pool, dolphin shows, penguins, and so on," he added.

Seribu Islands PPAPP Sub-agency Head, Simon Baginda Pardomuan Panjaitan explained today's tour also invited 10 companions.

"The National Children Day event will be held on Sunday at Plaza Kabupaten of Seribu Island, Pramuka Island," he said.

Simon hopes that this activity will raise awareness of the importance of fulfilling children's rights and protecting them as part of the nation's development efforts.

Meanwhile, one of the students of SMP 285 Jakarta, Ibrahim Kafih (15) admitted happy to take part in this tour. It was his first time to visit Ocean Dream Samudra and Bird Land.

"I'm so happy. I hope this activity to be continued so that students in the Seribu Islands can also enjoy entertainment and gain broader knowledge," he admitted.
